Dr. Gerhard Heinrich | Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Dr. Gerhard Heinrich has been chairman of the supervisory board of Prevent AG since July 2006.
He is founding partner of his own consultancy, Heinrich & Cie., based in Frankfurt/Main. Mr. Heinrich was responsible for the German and Austrian Investment Banking of Credit Suisse First Boston. He was Deputy Chairman Europe and Member of the Executive Board in London and also CEO of Credit Suisse Deutschland AG. Prior to that, Dr. Heinrich was CEO of Union Bank of Switzerland Deutschland AG (UBS) and the Senior Manager of Corporate Finance with BHF-Bank.
Dr. Heinrich has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions, public offering, structured financing, private equity and stock broking. He studied at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, graduating with a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences.
Prof. Dr. Kurt Schiltknecht | Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board
The Swiss economist and banker Prof. Dr. Kurt Schiltknecht has been Vice Chairman of the supervisory board of Prevent AG since July 2006.
Prof. Dr. Schiltknecht worked at the Institute for economic research at the ETH (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zurich), in the Econometric Research Unit of the OECD in Paris and at the Wharton School of Economics. After that, he started his career with the Schweizerische Nationalbank in 1974. From 1984 to 1996 he continued to influence its course as a member of the bank council. In 1984 he was appointed Professor Extraordinarius at the University of Basle. His later positions included managerial responsibilities at the Nordfinanz Bank Zurich, the Bank Leu and the BZ Group.
Today, Prof. Dr. Schiltknecht is Vice President of the Supervisory Board of Walter Meier, as well as a member of the supervisory boards of Patinex and Klosterfrau Zurich. He is also President of the IKEA-Foundation Switzerland.
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Gramke | Member of the Supervisory Board
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Gramke has been a member of the supervisory board of Prevent AG since July 2002.
Prof. Dr. Gramke, the founder of the Institute for European Affairs (INEA), based in Dusseldorf and with offices in several European countries, is also INEA’s Chairman of the Board of Management. Prior to that, he worked as Head of Administration of the Kommunalverband Ruhrgebiet and was a member of the Executive Committee of the “Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund”, of the “Deutscher Städtetag” and of the “Deutscher Landkreistag”, German district and regional governmental bodies. Prior to the foundation of INEA, Prof. Dr. Gramke was Minister for Economics and Technology in the state of Sachsen-Anhalt in 1994.
Prof. Dr. Gramke is an Honorary Professor of European Law and Politics at the University of Bochum and was a co-founder and coordinator of the “Initiativkreis Ruhrgebiet”. Together with the former Finnish President Ahtisaari, he is Honorary Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Baltic Sea Forum, Honorary Chairman of the “Verein Pro Ruhrgebiet” and the “Verein Pro Brandenburg”, as well as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania for the German states of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Niedersachsen and Bremen.
